RealSpeak Solo Direct Kyoko Voice Set Up for Windows XP

To use the Japanese RealSpeak Solo Direct Kyoko voice on a Windows XP system, you must have the Japanese language files installed on your computer. If this voice does not work for you, do the following. Note that this task can be performed before or after you install the Japanese RealSpeak Solo Direct Kyoko voice.

  1. Press the WINDOWS Key.
  2. Open Control Panel, and choose Regional and Language Options.
  3. In the Regional and Language Options dialog box, press CTRL+TAB to move to the Languages page.
  4. Press TAB to move to the Install files for East Asian languages check box, and then press SPACEBAR to select it. This opens the Install Supplemental Language Support dialog box, which indicates that you are about to install Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language files.
  5. Press SPACEBAR to activate the OK button. The dialog box closes and focus returns to the Install files for East Asian languages check box.
  6. Press TAB and then SPACEBAR to move to and activate the OK button. The language file installation begins. Note that you may need your Windows XP installation CD to install the necessary files.
  7. When prompted to restart the computer, select the Yes button. After the computer reboots, you can use the Japanese RealSpeak Solo Direct Kyoko voice on a Windows XP system.
